Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

God doesn’t want you to go either. That is why He sent Jesus to die on the cross. He has also sent the Holy Spirit to convict people of their sin. It is the Holy Spirit that convinces you that you are a sinner and that you need a saviour. He wants to take you to heaven but you must do it God’s way.

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

(2 Peter 3:9)

Repent of your sin today: acknowledge that you are a sinner and that you have committed many sins. We have all sinned:

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

(Romans 3:23)

You must choose God’s way. Jesus Christ is the only true saviour:

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

(Acts 4:12)

You must call on Jesus today and ask Him to save you: there is no other way.

Many people won’t believe that hell is real. Many won’t believe that God would put them in it, but Jesus says clearly:

“But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”

(Luke 12:5)

Yes, God would absolutely put people in hell that displease and offend Him. He has done so before and will continue to do so, as He is a God of righteous judgment. You must fear God and take Him seriously. He is a God to be feared!

“Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.”

(Proverbs 23:17)

There is a price to pay for being a Christian and not going to hell:

“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.”

(Luke 9:23-24)

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

(Matthew 7:13-14)

And yes, all other religions are false and idolatry in God’s sight. God says this, not man. It is for God to decide this. He has prescribed the form of worship, and the doctrine He receives as outlined in His word. Dare any man offer anything outside that which He has prescribed. It is all commanded and outlined in the New Testament what God receives, and He only accepts the offering of what Jesus did on the cross as a sacrifice for sin. Anything outside of that is idolatry and an offence to Him. Consider that God gave His only Son to be sacrificed on a cruel, bloody cross for man’s sin, and then people have the audacity to offering Him false religion while rejecting His Son’s sacrifice.

Tell God that you have lived wrong and you want to be forgiven. You must believe that Jesus is the only true Saviour and that He died on the cross for your sins. You must turn to Him with all your heart. Get ready to live a new life in Christ where you will live for Him every day.

This is a life-time commitment – not a one-off experience. Take it seriously and God will take it seriously.

Prayer:

Dear God,

I acknowledge I am a sinner. I need Jesus Christ to save me. I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins.  I repent and turn to you, and ask you to have mercy upon me. I want a new life, and to be forgiven of my sins. Please save me and make me a born-again Christian. Wash me in the precious blood of Jesus. Help Me to live for you every day. I don’t want to go to hell. I believe Jesus is coming back again to this earth. Help me to get myself ready and others ready for His coming. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Now you must follow through on your commitment, and live the Christian life every day until you see Jesus, face to face. God will lead you, guide you and teach you in the way that you should go.

“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.”

(Psalm 32:8-9)
