In the beginning of creation everything was perfect:

“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”

(Genesis 1:31)

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

(Genesis 1:26-27)

They were told they could eat of every tree in the garden except the tree that was in the midst of the garden (the tree of good and evil):

“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

(Genesis 2:17)

And as the Bible testifies, they did eat off the fruit (Genesis 3:6-7), and died and became separated from God.

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”

(Romans 5:12)

“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

(1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

So, without God we are all doomed to spend all of eternity in hell. Hell is no laughing matter; it is no joke. God takes it seriously; Satan takes it seriously.

“So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

(Matthew 13:49-50)

The tears of regret, lost opportunities, no hope, no not one hope, all hope is lost.

The word of God says:

“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.”

(Isaiah 55:6)

Hell is a horrible place, heaven is a holy place, therefore sinners can’t enter.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

(John 3:16)

Think of it as God offering you a new beginning, and the gift of eternal life.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

(Romans 6:23)

Yes, you can have a new beginning but only through God’s Son.

Jesus said:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

(John 14:6)

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

(Romans 10:9-10)

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”

(Romans 1:18-20)

God is serious!

“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.”

(Acts 17:30-31)

“For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

(Romans 10:12-13)
